Hello Stephen,
We made it home after a wonderful trip to Spain. I must tell you
that Paul and I agree that the tapas we had on your tour were the best
we experienced during our
trip. The Parador stop in Toledo was an unexpected surprise,
which we both appreciated. That was a "wild" day, wasn't it. One for
the books, and we had fun.
You must tell Connie how happy with our Wellington Society experience. |

Dear Mr. Chairman, My wife
and I were your guests for a Bloody Madrid walking tour on last Saturday
evening (7 May). My wife has come home and told everyone that your tour
was the highlight of the trip. I must agree. We had a fabulous evening
touring the old quarter and getting acquainted with you and your varied
local talent. Thank you again for a wonderful time. We look forward to
our next occasion when we can 're-new' our membership in the Wellington
Society. |

I want to extend sincere thanks for all of your assistance to make our
trip to Madrid so wonderful. I know you were busy with your move, but
you still found time to call La Opera and let the restaurant staff know
about our special night. We had an exquisite dinner that we will not
soon forget. I ended up proposing to Sandra before dinner near the
palace. It was fantastic. We walked the |
 |
|
streets nearby that you had taken us through the night before, and
I was amazed at the amount of
information I recalled from your informative walk (as you probably could
tell, I was pretty jetlagged at that time). It's clear you have a
passion for Madrid that is unsurpassed.
Thanks again, Stephen, for
all of your help. We plan on returning to Madrid in a year and will be
sure to pay our annual dues to the Wellington Society. It's nice to know
we have friends in Spain. Give our best to Connie. |

Colbey and I just wanted to
write and let you know what a pleasure it was meeting you and Connie in
Madrid. Your walking tours, and more importantly your friendship, were
the highlights of our visit to Spain. What a wonderful way to spend the
first night of our honeymoon in Madrid and what charming and gracious
hosts you were. You made us feel |
|
right at home in your adopted city.
We have been telling all our
friends and family about the Wellington Society and we hope they will
contact you should they visit Madrid. We also look forward to future to
visits to Madrid (next time we WILL take in a bullfight) and to applying
for lifetime membership in the Wellington Society.
Cheers Stephen! We look
forward to hearing from you soon. |

"Thank you very much for a spectacular tour of
the inner workings of Madrid. I enjoyed immensely the opportunity to
learn about the neighborhoods, the history and without saying the warm
hospitality extended to me by the friends of the Wellington Society. The
fact that I was able to sample some delicious red wine, white wine,
beer, claret and port before the tour ended only enhanced my overall
enjoyment."

"We had an amazing time and we have all raved to
our parents and friends in Rome about the history we learned, plus the
great food and drinks! The tour definitely made our trip to Madrid. I
have actually given your name to a friend of mine here who is coming to
Madrid in a few weeks, so you might be hearing from her. Thanks again
and say hi to the family!!" |
|
"My father and I can
only gasp in admiration at your ability to reveal such detail. You are
to history what the Hubble telescope is to astronomy".
"Our evening together
was memorable beyond belief. Everything was lovely; the food, wine and
especially the company! " |

"We have not been able to stop talking about our
time in Madrid. Our nights with you, Mr. Chairman, were the highlight of
our time there. Your knowledge of the streets and all that they have to
offer, coupled with your quest for a good time make an evening with you
a must." |

The Wellington Society tour was the highlight of my visit to Madrid.
I've recounted the tour to many friends, noting that it covers the
obscure yet colorful parts of the city. And also, it was the first
walking tour where I never once was thirsty for more than a few minutes.

Just back from Spain and we wanted to send along
a warm "gracias" for the walking tour of Madrid our last night. Truly a
wonderful way to end our travels in Espana. You brought Madrid history
to life in a colorful and memorable way. Whenever we think of Madrid we
will have, in our mind's eye, not only the image of a French Bourbon
king crawling, backside first, under a stockcade to greet the Spanish
king but the taste of good wine and
generous company! Thanks so much for a lovely evening. Adios to a
scholar and a gentleman!
"We truly enjoyed our evening with you and seeing your Madrid. Muchas
Gracias! " |
|
"Hello Stephen & Connie, We are home from Spain
and we all had such a good time. We want to thank you for such a fun
evening on Saturday, the 11th, and the informative day at the bullfight
on Sunday, the 12th. I want to
thank you personally for helping Jerry with my birthday celebration.
That was a fun evening." |

"Merritt and Leah, here. We just wanted to thank
you for a wonderful night in Madrid. We´ve just finished up 4 days in
Barcelona, which is a lovely city, but I must say that Madrid has been
my favorite, largely thanks to you. The bullfight on Sunday was highly
enjoyable and I took your suggestions regarding seating and I think I
had the best seats in the house".
"Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our
visit to Spain so memorable. We all learned so much. We're having fun
remembering our good times in Madrid and Toledo with you. Thanks so much
for your kindness.".
