Thank you for your advice to dine at Judaria
Restaurante in Toledo. When
we presented your card to the proprietor, he responded with "good
friend"
in English. We left the restaurant with a complementary bottle of wine.
Thanks, again, for helping make our honeymoon even more memorable. |

"On
behalf of new Wellington Society members Pierre, Juliet, Lisa and Dan Muino,
I'd like to thank you for the very enjoyable walk around Old Madrid on
the night of September 8. It was a great introduction to the culture, history
and food of Spain. The tapas and wines were excellent, the historical
stories were well chosen (and well told), and your colorful references
were much appreciated (e.g. Amadeus, Mr. Bean, Monty Python, Hercule
Poirot, Gilbert & Sullivan -- all |

stuff that we
like!). After strolling around
Madrid with you on our first night in Spain, we all felt
very comfortable in the city and very pleased to be in Spain." |
|
We are back in California and
settled into daily life but we shall never forget how you two launched
our month in Europe in late September. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening
tapas tour and more with the two of you. Your knowledge is as extensive
as your humor. We do believe that you have an added secret ingredient in
your tours with your lovely wife, Connie. |

We truly felt as though we
had an evening out with friends and wished that we had more days
in Madrid to share. Ah, there is always next time! Thank you so much. |

Emily (left) is doing great and has become quite
the reader ... she put her mind to it and it happened! It has really
been wonderful to watch her. I attribute it all to your encouragement!
She wants to go back to Spain (as do I) --- now we just need to
find/make the time! Terrible things these jobs and limited vacation
Thank you for helping us to |

experience the beauty and history of Spain
without a tour bus or a "factory"tour in sight! Each of
us have such happy memories of our time spent on the tapas tour and the
trip to Aranjuez with you and our trip to Segovia where we relied on
your wonderful directions and advice! Thank you so much ... "I don't
care what anyone says" ... you really are a nice man! (:}) |

"Thanks for all of your wit, knowledge and ability
as an historian and guide. We truly enjoyed our trips with you to
Segovia, Toledo & Chinchon. They were most definitely one of the high
points
of our Spanish excursion."
From Cliff Snyder, Houston Texas, USA
"A belated note to let you know how much Ashley
and I enjoyed being with you and the group a couple of weeks ago. We
loved Madrid, and I can honestly say the evening spent with you was the
high point. "

"I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you once again how much
Myles and I enjoyed taking your "Bloody Madrid" tour back in July
(Friday the 13th). Your passion for Spanish history was very contagious
and provided us with a new outlook toward the Spanish culture. Thank you
for an intriguing evening! "

"A very big 'THANK YOU' to you and The Chairman
for a very wonderful two day experience in Madrid. Both of you were very
entertaining and made the Madrid experience so much more rewarding."
"I just wanted you to know that I had the most
fantasic time and I can't thank you and Connie enough for the experience
of Spain that you gave me. The wine tour was especially good but your
company, good humour and good friendship made my whole birthday
celebration one that I will never forget."

Dear Chairman,
Just back from Spain and we wanted to send along a warm "gracias" for
the walking tour of Madrid our last night. Truly a wonderful way to end
our travels in Espana. You brought Madrid history to life in a colorful
and memorable way. Whenever we think of Madrid we will have, in our
mind's eye, not only the image of a French Bourbon king crawling,
backside first, under
a stockcade to greet the Spanish king but the taste of good wine and
generous company! Thanks so much for a lovely evening & we await the
book for "Currrent" members. Adios to a scholar and a gentleman! |
